Countryside

There is a lot to see and explore in the countryside on Stevns. You can visit the majestic Castle of Vallø, The Mansion of Gjorslev – the biggest and oldest medieval castle, Solgårdsparken in Strøby Egede – a beautiful green oasis that stretches all the way down to the River Valley, and then there is the old Church of Højerup – right on the rim of the Clint.

Along the coastline there is also a lot to see such as; the limestone quarry of Boesdal, The Cold War Museum “Stevnsfort”, the abandoned limestone and chalk quarry of Holtug, Stevns Lighthouse and then of course the woods of Gjorslev Bøgeskov.
